| Charges in writing have been filed within the last few days with Dr. C. E. Humiston, secretary of the society. The complainant's name is withheld by the society for the present. Dr. Humiston notified Dr. Haiselden of the charges and gave him the customary ten days in which to appear before the ethical relations committee and defend himself.
| The ethical relations committee is composed of Dr. Henry J. Way of 3501 West Jackson boulevard, chairman: Dr. Henry F. Lewis of 4426 Lake Park avenue, and Dr. Jeremiah H. Walsh of 3202 Washington boulevard. Basis for Charges
| "What is the basis for the charges against Dr. Haiselden?" Dr. Way was asked.
| "His self-advertising in writing his biography for a newspaper, I believe," Dr. Way replied.
| "Will he be charged with unethical conduct in refusing to operate on the Bollinger baby?"
| "Not that I know of," said Dr. Way. "The verdict of coroner's jury of six physicians of standing was that in the Baby Bollinger case Dr. Haiselden acted 'within his moral and ethical rights.'" |
